AFL-CIO More Interested In Protecting Illegal Alliens Than American Workers

 

Commentary:  It’s long been understood that American unions put high priority on increasing membership.  What is crucial for you to realize is that they will quickly dump the American worker and any allegiance to the red, white and blue if they can continue to get hordes of illegal workers to pay dues.

The AFL-CIO is selling out the American worker.

(AP) The Social Security Administration cannot start sending out letters to employers next week containing notification of more serious penalties for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Ruling on a lawsuit by the nation’s largest federation of labor unions against the U.S. government, U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting the so-called “no-match” letters from going out as planned starting Tuesday.

The AFL-CIO lawsuit, filed this week, claims that new Department of Homeland Security rules outlined in accompanying letters threaten to violate workers’ rights and unfairly burden employers. Chesney said the court needs “breathing room” before making any decision on the legality of new penalties aimed at cracking down on the hiring of illegal immigrants.

She set the next hearing on the matter for Oct. 1.

Immigration Manifesto – A European Conservative Look At Things

Commentary:   First off, European conservatism is something that I thought was all but extinct.  That said, Doctors Ole and Jens posted the following on their site Honest Thinking.  While many of the conservatives that I correspond and speak with may find this a bit liberal at first, there is certainly plenty of conserva-speak and much to think about in it’s assertions.  I would have to concur with KD in his assessment of this manifesto.  I don’t think it’s alltogether applicable to America, it’s society, or it’s culture.  Although like KD said, it does provide a great place to start a dialogue.

Immigration manifesto

The immigration policies currently in vogue in most Western countries show increasing signs of being unsustainable, and the associated problems are likely to grow ever more severe in the coming years. This is one of the largest ethical dilemmas of our time. We therefore believe the entire foundation for the prevailing regime needs to be reconsidered, and submit this manifesto as a starting point for reasoning about these challenges.

1. It is a moral duty to promote human rights all over the world.
2. The concept of human rights must not be confused with any particular legal implementation or formulation of that concept, since such explications could contain internal inconsistencies or imply consequences that would cause conflict with the previous tenet.
3. The worth of a human being is independent of his or her gender, religion, ethnic background, sexual preferences, culture, language, and other such markers.
4. Cooperation across cultural, language, religious, and ethnic borders is desirable and necessary.
5. Even so, culture, language, religion, and ethnicity are instrumental in establishing each individual’s identity, and thus central in forming his or her sense of belonging and loyalty. Any policy aimed at sustainability must take this into account.
6. It is therefore legitimate for any sovereign state to implement restrictions towards non-citizens in such a way that control over its demographic development is retained.
7. It is unacceptable, without foregoing careful consideration and proper democratic processes, that political dispositions be made to alter the demographic composition of a state in such a way that its stability, its inner cohesion, and the mutual loyalty of its population be threatened.

We are apprehensive of individuals, organizations, and other legal entities that try to quench free and open debate on the above issues, and regard such political actors as having little or no legitimacy in questions of democracy and human rights. Moreover, ideologies and political movements whose goals are irreconcilable with the above tenets should be considered devoid of moral and intellectual integrity, unless they are able to justify said discrepancy.

Katie’s Dad posted these comments on his site regarding this Immigration Manifesto. 

There is definitely a lot of the European mind at work here, even if it is conservative. No doubt, these are conservative words, but they are flavored by the European experience.

1. I disagree with the notion that we have a moral duty to promote human rights all over the world.  Just as surely as all cultures are not equal, most cultures have divergent views regarding morality and human rights.   I believe that our duty to other nations and cultures ends with Winthrop’s “city on a hill” concept, perhaps as reprised by Reagan.  Our only moral duty is to seek higher good in America through human freedom so that we can be an example that other nations not yet so blessed might emulate if they desire. That is as far as I’m willing to go with it. Making it a “moral duty” to directly affect the mores or human rights policies and practices of other lands is inviting the hubris of full-time interventionism. It risks hunting neoconservative snipes that would entangle us with foreign enemies and alliances far beyond what is prudent, or what was prescribed by our founding fathers.
2. Placing caveats on the first point isn’t really a second point. It’s acknowledging a weakness in the original proposition. It says that point one needs work.
3. I would define the “worth of a human being” quite differently. My writing of it would go something like this: “The worth of every individual, at conception, is identical and divinely equivalent. At that point differentiation begins, and it continues throughout each life thanks to myriad things that affect the character of every individual. A person’s “worth” is malleable, shaped by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The United States Declaration of Independence contends that all people are created equal; it does not say that all people are always equal, all the time. We must be wary not to equivocate through the use such charged ideas like “human worth;” when we start thinking this way, it opens the door for political correctness to gain a foothold from which it can play its leveling game. We will be too soon tempted to insist that all men are of equal worth all of the time regardless of whatever influences to which they have been subjected. That’s socialism.”
4. I’ll agree that cooperation across cultural, language, religious, and ethnic borders is usually necessary, but it isn’t always desirable. It should only be undertaken with hefty doses of skepticism, intolerance and caution.
5. This fifth point is merely a modifier of the fourth. Maybe the fourth and fifth point should be combined: “Heritage, culture, language, religion, and ethnicity are instrumental in establishing each individual’s identity and essential to the development of a healthy sense of belonging. Every action by government must take this into account. While cooperation across cultural, language, religious, and ethnic borders is often necessary, it is not always desirable because of its potential to undermine a healthy sense of belonging throughout a population. Engage with others often; trust only when prudent and necessary; and, assert the primacy of one’s similars at all times.
6. This was pretty good.  It is not only legitimate, but history renders it prescriptive, that every sovereign state has a right to and should be selective and restrict non-citizens that enter its territory in such a manner that its demographic traits are neither radically nor quickly altered by the impositions that aliens naturally make in relation to their numbers.
7. This was pretty good too.  I’d add that no government in a republican form of democracy has a right to do anything that might alter the demographic composition of its nation without first obtaining the full, well-informed, long-considered and diligently vetted consent of the governed.

Jørgen and Jens made an admirable try, but there is too much in it that doesn’t apply to American experience. I hope that this is just the beginning of a dialog. We need to have this with the native stock people of our ancestral source nations; we’re all in this Western Civilization boat together. And we face problems too similar not to share wisdom.

Surprise! RidersUSA Strikes Again

 

This time in the City of Surprise, Arizona.  RidersUSA in conjunction with other groups and private citizens arrived in Surprise, a suburb of Phoenix to take over and protest on a vacant lot that has been a Mecca for illegal alien day laborers.  The site has been watched for quite some time and has been known to host over a hundred day laborers waiting for lawbreaking businesses and contractors to come by and illegally pick them up for cheap labor and slave wages.

 

According to US Code TITLE 8, Chapter 12, Sub. 2, Part 9 1324a;  it is in violation of federal law to hire illegal aliens.  Yet, dozens upon dozens of contractors and businesses do it everyday at the intersection of Greenway Road & Grand Avenue.  So much so that illegal alien day laborers show up there everyday waiting to be picked up.

The City of Surprise is trying to pass an ordinance making this activity illegal.  Due to many rallys and events being held the same day throughout the valley, only a small contingent of RidersUSA was available for this location on Saturday to help lend support to the ordinance.  Many private citizens joined us.  Several people who saw us protesting, parked their cars, picked up a sign, and joined us in our effort.  

 

A wonderful American Patriot whom I will refer to as The Good Doctor, was out on Grand Ave. and Greenway with her bull horn stating the laws chapter and verse.  She is a brilliant woman armed to the teeth with facts and knowledge.  She’s pretty funny too.  She got out of her car, walked up to the group of bikers getting signs together and said, “Good morning girls, let’s get to work!”  With that, our little protest had begun.

There was a HUGE show of support from the Surprise Police Dept., the El Mirage Police Dept. and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Dept.  All three agencies were on site during the protest and did a wonderful job in keeping the peace over what was a rather irate gathering of illegal alien opposition.  We showed up on what they regarded as “their turf”.  These illegals had obviously never been confronted in such a manner as this in their own front yard.  It’s about time. 

 

On several occasions throughout the morning we were politely confronted by what I assume to be American citizens of Hispanic ancestry and asked to explain our opposition to “people just looking for work”.  We politely did, and in a few cases parted ways agreeing to disagree.  Most other times the inquirers where not really at all interested in our stance in the issue.  They said their piece and when we attempted to explain ours, we were called modern Nazis.  Ironic when you consider that the La Raza pro illegal immigrant mindset appears to be based in Mexican “national socialism”.  By nature of the definition, that would make them the Nazis.

There was one jerk that showed up in support of the lawless illegal aliens claiming to be a former Glendale police officer who quit “because of the politics”, and obviously no longer had any respect for the law.  He looked rather young.  If he in fact left the force after only seven years, he must have joined the force when he was twelve.  This guy was a clown.  If he and his ilk are the ones promoting the illegal alien amnesty mistake, we may just have a good chance to continue defeating it. 

 

The guy made the mistake of mouthing off to Buffalo Rick.  Rick is not one to back down in an argument.  In fact, he will verbally bury you quickly.  One thing NOBODY should EVER do is question the man’s patriotism and loyalty to America and the American dream.  There are several people in America today that whether you agree or disagree with their opinions, they’ve earned the right through brutal bloody sacrifice and service to this country to voice their opinion.  Buffalo Rick is one of those people.  He’s an honest to goodness American hero.  He doesn’t need some punk ass kid who has proven himself to be a traitor to his country and a quitter in his community trying to lecture him on anything.  You’re part of the problem kid.  Grow up and be an American.

All in all it was a good morning.  We definitely stirred the pot with our presence.

Border Security and The Truth

 

The following piece by Jim Byrd at A Skewed View tells it like it is.  I appreciate Jim bringing this viewpoint to my attention.  The solution could in fact reside in the messege and integrity of one man.  History has taught us that many times it takes someone from “outside the box” and unwilling to conform to the status quo, to resolve the problems within.

The threats to our national security in the order of their threat level:

1. George Bush’s lack of immigration enforcement since 9-11. His immigration plan would be the equivalent of putting bars on all the windows in the front of your house, adding three additional deadbolts to the front door, installing a state of the art alarm, placing armed guards in the front of the house and at the same time you leave the back door wide open and place signs in the front yard saying” come around back the door is open.” We were attacked on our soil by people who should not have been here. The absolute first thing would have been to shut down the borders and run anyone coming into this country from a middle eastern background under the microscope and find any and everyone not supposed to be here i.e. the 600,000 criminal illegals from around the world with expired visas, crimes, etc. that are still unaccounted for. Engaging in a war with a country that posed no direct threat to this country without addressing our borders and illegal infiltration is nothing short of ignorant. If a group of caucasians bombed a holy site in an Arabic country you could expect nothing less than the tables being turned. And justifiably so. It is the only effective way to stop it in it’s tracks.
2. Michael Chertoff and the Office of Home Land Security. This weed is allegedly in charge of enforcing the laws that are on the books with regards to immigration and national security. Rather than focusing on building the border fence that has been mandated and funded, he has spent his time parading around the country as a politician and lobbyist trying to sell Bush’s snake oil immigration plan. His department is also responsible for the idiotic screening process at the airports. A 75 year old nun in a wheelchair is just as likely to be searched as a person who would fit the profile of someone who would be the most likely to commit an act of terrorism. You know who I am talking about. Keep in mind that not all Muslims are terrorist, but nearly all terrorist are Muslims. This should be tattooed on Chertoff’s forehead in an inverted fashion so he sees it every time he looks in the mirror. Michael Chertoff and the Homeland Security Agency would be better served consulting with odds makers in Vegas on who would be a more likely candidate as a terrorist, a nun or a person of middle eastern ancestry chanting Allah rather than bowing to political correctness for their inane procedures. In Vegas the house always comes out ahead.
3. Alberto Gonzales and the Justice Department who is in the pocket of the Mexican government when it comes to prosecuting Border Agents vis a vis illegal aliens and drug smugglers. And for allowing the Mexican government to be involved in any capacity in the cases and witnesses being investigated on the U.S. side of the border.
4. The Democrat controlled Congress has not passed any law or policy to weaken our national security-yet. They have tried but their efforts have so far been benign. They have been chipping away at the intelligence gathering procedures at Guantanamo Bay. The Democrats and their left wing loons are still wringing their hands over the tactics used to coerce intelligence from the prisoners there concerning national intelligence. If one of their children or spouses were captured and held hostage with threats of being beheaded and they had one hour alone with someone who knew the location of the hostage and they had anything at their disposal to get the information, what would they do? That should be the standard for extracting information.
5. Al Qaeda comes in at fifth because even though they would attack us on our soil again, they are not a direct threat unless they are here. The misguided policies that have been in place since 9-11 and the political correctness that is driving our national security policy is the only avenue they need to execute an attack. They are here and the only thing keeping more from coming into this country is Chertoff and his Home Land Security Department. The Bush administration can expand F.I.S.A. all you want and listen to whatever they want but until all threats are eradicated from our back yard and their entrance into the U.S. is cut off, you can expect nothing less than another attack here.

The only person who has spoken the truth about the gapping holes in our national security is…

San Francisco Government “Savage” In Their Assault On Minorities.

 

Commentary:      Where’s the ACLU?  I thought they were in the business of fighting to protect the civil liberties and constitutional rights of minorities.  Well, in San Francisco we have a gentleman who is being persecuted by local government no less for simply exercising his First Amendment right.  According to census statistics and a recent New York Times article, which all you ACLU people accept as gospel, this man is clearly now a minority and is being persecuted by “THE MAN”.  Since when is it ok for a government entity to persecute a single citizen who has done nothing wrong.  How come Sharpton and Jackson aren’t  standing on the steps of city hall demanding an apology from Gerardo Sandoval for his malicious deeds upon a minority?  Where’s the outrage?  I demand that the ACLU send their first available Red Diaper Doper Baby Attorney to San Francisco post haste.  They have work to do.

San Francisco leaders want taxpayers to pay for green cards, citizenship

San Francisco city officials are trying to force taxpayers to pay for immigrants’ green cards and citizenship – and to bolster their case for the new tax, they’ve introduced a resolution condemning national radio talk-show host Michael Savage for what they call his “defamatory language … against immigrants.”

Supervisor Chris Daly, reacting to the new and significantly higher federal fee structure for immigrants seeking citizenship, imposed last week by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, complained that the fee hikes raise concerns that immigrants “cannot obtain safe pathways to legal immigrant status and citizenship” and “further exacerbates pressures on families, increasing stress,” according to the San Francisco Examiner.

Under the new fee structure, the cost to apply for a green card is now $930, up $605 from the old fee. Citizenship applications went from $330 to $595. On Tuesday, Daly asked the city attorney to draw up legislation that would subsidize immigrants applying for citizenship, green cards and petitions for relatives and workers.

On the same day, apparently to further generate sympathy for immigrants and bolster Daly’s bailout effort, Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval introduced a resolution condemning popular radio talk-show host Michael Savage, a mainstay of the San Francisco airways for years. Since he was syndicated nationally by Talk Radio Network, Savage has become one of the nation’s most-listened-to radio talkers.
